Accelerate to Increase

On February 8, 2009, Champion Life Centre started from a humble beginning of only six families. The first service was held at Albert Park, Radisson Heights Community Hall. And after a couple of Sundays, service was held at  Metis Centre which became the home of CLC till the early part of 2013.  CLC grew and multiplied from six families to one hundred sixty members and still growing. CLC continued with its mission and vision building lives and empowering the community making an impact on our society to this day.

Accelerate to Own

As the church multiplied and increased, a bigger place was needed. So on March 2013 CLC rented the building at 52nd street.  March 2016, CLC received an eviction notice and was only given one month to leave and vacate the building. Because of the church’s strong faith, the people joined hands and prayed together, believing that the God we serve is mighty, powerful and a provider.  God moved and miraculously showed His mighty power allowing CLC to purchase the building, turning eviction into possession. Today, every CLC member calls it their home. God is so good.

Accelerate to Digital World

The world is using a lot of social media to cater services to the people, and CLC has also adapted to meet its needs to connect globally. It has its website, Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter Account and the CLC App. These are great tools that aid to reach out, encourage, inspire and invite others to be part of the CLC family.

Accelerate to Grow

CLC has been so blessed not only in physical numbers and asset but also in terms of spiritual growth. CLC’s children and youth are being raised up and equipped in godly ways. Young people rose up to leadership. There were the seven graduates of Lead School Training held in CLC Brampton. And several graduates of Lead School Basic Training held in Calgary who currently are Life Group leaders and Network Core Leads. They have accelerated not only at the church but also in their workplaces and in the community. They are role models encouraging the next generations of leaders to excel and become Champions. All of them share a Champion story that emboldens and uplifts one another. God has taught these individuals to grow in maturity and become true sons and daughters of Christ.

Accelerate to Empower Youth

CLC strengthens the next generation of youth and young adults trained at Lead School in Brampton. CLC invested in the youth to ensure they are raised to be active and responsible members of the society not involved in any vices, addictions, drugs or alcohol, homelessness, joblessness but rather serving people in the community and using their skills and talents to make a difference. Champion life excels in creating programs for the youth and the young adults to develop their skillsets, set goals and dreams, help with career choices. The next generation is grown and trained using Christian beliefs and values making them an asset to society. This allows strong-minded individuals to be released to inspire and create change in the different spheres of influences in the society.

Accelerate to Serve

God has a higher calling for CLC. It needs to reach out to the community to make a difference. CLC started connecting in various ways. It had significant activities and events that made an impact; such as feeding, Christmas gift giving to Brenda’s House, CareWest and Sonshine Community Services. It also has the annual Stampede Breakfast to bless the community. In addition to this, CLC provided a Tax Clinic for free. Free flu shots for the public in partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart. Other initiatives were seminars, conferences, and sessions in partnership with a few organizations, associations and professionals that CLC hosted to share knowledge and information. Through its combined efforts, CLC provided Marriage Seminar by Pastor Roy Verzosa from CLC Scarborough and the Founder and Director of the Apollos Project. The church has also collaborated with people in business and leaders through TFCC Champions Talk, which Pastor Jesse Carnecer was one of the inspiring speakers. Another event was BusinessWise held for business owners and those who want to start a business. It also had the immigration processes to support fellow immigrants in sponsoring and acquiring a resident status and work permits through the information session conducted by MDL Immigration Services. Lastly, it hosted the youth empowerment conference, Cross Over, in partnership with the WIN Church. CLC is located in the Erin Woods. One way to give back to the community is by supporting them in its Christmas Events for the families and children. With CLC’s involvement in the community, it was not only known as an ordinary church but an exceptional church that makes a difference and empowers the community.

Accelerate to Lead Leaders

Champions leading champions. This is what CLC has been doing ever since. Equipping and training more leaders to serve God and the community; to fulfill its mission through the Penta Group vision. It has its Community Group Leaders whose primary goal is to disciple and raise Life Group leaders, to be true sons and daughters of Christ.

Further, it also equips ministry, network and core leaders to develop and expand the kingdom. CLC believes in the importance of the concept of a “family.” Life groups are designed to serve individuals and families to stay connected in the champion life community. Life brings difficult and stressful situations that impact members of the community such as poverty, unemployment, domestic issues, etc. CLC ensures that the members of the community find its doors as haven supporting every person and helping them meet their individualized needs from a holistic approach whether this is physical, emotional, spiritual or mental well-being.

Accelerate to Fulfill God’s Mandate

Everyone at CLC is excited about what God has in store for its future. As CLC continues to fulfill God’s mission and vision,  it will continue to empower lives and impact the community. CLC faithfully partners with God in accelerating the Kingdom, expect to see changes one family at a time, one community at a time. And as the Word of God says “Eye have not seen nor ears have heard of what great things God has in store for us.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
