The struggles I faced and overcame made me a strong woman that I am today. To speak in front of a crowd sharing my story, inspiring each and every one of you. They say don’t be ashamed of your story because you don’t know who you are inspiring. I looked back I remember being that woman who was so ashamed to talk about her flaws because I was too scared of other’s negative judgment on me. Fitness gave me the courage to stand up for myself. Today, staying fit has become my lifestyle.
No matter how many bumps you hit along the way, don’t ever give up. Pick yourself up, and keep moving forward. Challenge yourself and push beyond your limits. Nobody is going to change your health or life for you. It’s all on you.
Sometimes, when you do things for yourself, no one will believe you. It’s about time for you to believe in yourself. When you’re focused, and you got your mind set towards a goal, you can do anything. It’s all about having patience and consistency.
The question I get asked a lot is, “How did you do it?”
Two words I tell them, “You do it mentally, and with your heart.”
Believe you can, and your mind will push you.
Always love yourself. I used to focus on other girls. As human beings, we have some jealousy or competition, wanting to look at others and say to ourselves, “why can’t I look like that?” But I learned if you sit there every day flipping through magazines wishing you have a great body, you’re not really going to achieve anything.
If you compare yourself to people, you wish you looked like them, will lose self-confidence and forget what you’re really blessed with. Loving yourself says a lot.
If you learn to love your flaws, no one can bring negativity around you. I learned to accept my flaws and know that I can’t get rid of it 100% but I can change it and learn to work on it.
Remember, fitness has no finish line. Everyday, we work on ourselves. We are never done or satisfied. And that’s what I love about fitness. You’re always building yourself not just physically but mentally. You will get stronger and happier. You will do things that you never thought you could do.
“If you got a dream, don’t just dream about it, work for it, and you will feel proud of yourself when you achieve it, and in the process don’t forget where you came from. Continue to share your inspiration with others. You never know know who you will inspire.”
